Eric is a master carpenter with over 35 years of extensive experience and skill in the carpentry industry. His journey began with several top-tier companies, where he honed his craft and became proficient in a wide range of areas, from foundational and structural work to exquisite fine finishes. With a profound passion for carpentry, he finds joy in the art of creation, often saying he is happiest with sawdust in his boots. Eric's creativity and deep understanding of the trade allow him to provide tailored recommendations and deliver quality workmanship that fits a variety of budgets. His commitment to excellence and attention to detail set him apart, ensuring that every project he undertakes reflects his high standards and dedication. In addition to his responsibilities as a business owner, Eric actively invests in the future of the trade by nurturing the skills and interests of today's youth. He contributes to "SkillsUSA," a high school vocational competition focused on carpentry and cabinet making, where he helps motivate and guide aspiring carpenters. Furthermore, he served as a volunteer lead on the Buckeye Boy's Ranch project, investing his time and expertise to make a positive impact in the community. Eric is also a proud Work Based Lab (WBL) partner with the Fairfield Eastland Career Center, where he supports their Carpentry program by providing real-world experience and mentorship. Through his efforts, he aims to inspire the next generation of craftsmen, instilling in them the same passion and dedication that has fueled his own successful career. Angie Matthews

Angie holds a unique hybrid role at ECC, making her an invaluable asset to our team in the Columbus area. With over 20 years of administrative experience, she serves as the Office Manager, where she seamlessly integrates her diverse skill set into various functions, including social media management, web design, client relations, and product selections. Her extensive knowledge of design concepts enables her to effectively act as a liaison between clients and suppliers, ensuring that every project runs smoothly and meets the highest standards. What truly sets Angie apart is her hands-on approach. When she’s not in the office, you can find her on-site, donning a toolbelt as the Field Assistant and Eric’s right-hand. Her ability to utilize tools and materials with expertise often surprises both clients and subcontractors, showcasing her commitment to breaking stereotypes and leading the way for women in the construction field. Her multi-faceted skills demonstrate that she is not only an administrator but also a capable tradeswoman, embodying the spirit of empowerment in the industry. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Angie is dedicated to giving back to her community. She participates in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, where she serves as a mentor for young adults, providing guidance and support to help shape their futures. Her passion for mentoring reflects her belief in the importance of fostering the next generation, both in carpentry and beyond.
